Blackberry Roaming

I have a Blackberry 9700, unlocked . I have cancelled my blackberry plan with my previous provider (Telstra Australia) as the charges when travelling overseas (which I do most of the time) are very expensive. Therefore my Blackberry is no longer registered with RIM for the email service.

My question is: if I buy a World Blackberry sim card will I also need to buy, say, a World Super-saver card to also get the cheap call rates when on international travel?
